Instagram Reveals 5 Most Popular Photos As It Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary & Kendall Beats KIM Hands Down

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the photo platform revealed the five most popular posts ever, and the list consists entirely of snaps shared by extended members of the Kardashian family and Taylor Swift.

Despite the global media circus surrounding the nuptials of Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West, her half-sister Kendall Jenner scored the most likes (3.1 million) for a photo of her hair arranged in heart shapes, beating out Kim's wedding snap, which got 2.4 million likes. Kendall's winning photo, which sees the 19-year-old model lying on the floor in a lacy dress with her dark hair spread out around her, was posted to her account on May 28.

It sent Instagram into a flurry, inspiring the hashtag '#hearthair', which saw nearly 10,000 fans from around the world sharing their own versions.

In second place with 2.5 million likes, was a photo Taylor posted last month of a hefty bouquet of flowers sent to her, she says, by Kanye West, 38.

She captioned the image: 'Awwww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs'.

At number three, also with 2.5 million likes, was a photo Taylor shared of herself with her boyfriend, Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, 31

In fourth place is the iconic photo of Kim Kardashian, 34, sharing a kiss with Kanye amid a wall of white flowers on their wedding day in Italy on May 29, 2014

The fifth most popular Instagram post came from Kylie Jenner, the 18-year-old younger sister of Kendall, which shows Kylie posing with her high school diploma certificate on graduation day on July 30.
