#Ebola: River State Records Another Case Of Ebola

RIVERS STATE RECORDS NEW EBOLA CASE
  Latest test result released by the Rivers State Ministry of Health reveals that one of the 3 patients moved into the State owned Quarantine Centre has tested positive to the Ebola Virus Disease. The State Commissioner for Health Dr. Sampson Parker confirmed the development during Monday’s daily briefing with Journalist in Port Harcourt. Dr. Parker said the lady who tested positive to the virus is the patient that was in the same hospital with the first dead Victim, late Dr. Iyke Sam-Enemuo.
He said another round of test will be conducted for the other 2; a doctor and a pharmacist who have been tested negative, at the expiration of a 21 day incubation period.

The Health Commissioner said one new case that is showing symptoms of the virus have also been moved to the Quarantine Centre at Oduoha. The government Official said other corpses deposited at the same time with the dead body of  Iyke Sam-Enemuo at the UPTH Morgue will be buried in line with WHOstandard, this week.
The newest case showing symptoms of Ebola is a relative of the dead doctor Chinyere Enemuo who initially to escaped to Abia State. She is yet to be tested.
In the same vein, The Federal Airport Authorities of Nigeria, FAAN says the Ecowas diplomat that imported Ebola from Lagos to Port Harcourt sneaked into the state with a fake identity. FAAN South-South/South-East, Regional General Manager, Ebele Okoye disclosed this in an exclusive interview Agbosblog. The Airport Official also  reacted to complaints by the Rivers Chairman of the Trade Union Congress, Chika Onuegbu that if the authorities of FAAN in Port Harcourt were up and doing the diplomat that imported Ebola from Lagos to Port Harcourt may have been detected. She said FAAN has not relented in closely monitoring of movement of passengers in and out of the airport. She however assured air travelers at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa of proper Ebola Screening for all passengers.
