Lady Gaga Narrates Hoe Elton John Saved Her From Drink and Drugs

 

Lady Gaga has credited Sir Elton John with saving her when she was struggling with drink and drugs.
The Bad Romance hitmaker, who is godmother to the superstar’s two sons, realised she needed help after she passed out drunk on the lawn at her boyfriend Taylor Kinney’s brother’s wedding.

                              She tells Britain’s the Sun newspaper, ” I got drunk and fell asleep on the front lawn throughout the ceremony…

That was a special time you do f**king stupid s**t when you’re f**ked up… It’s like you have no sense of reason. I was even wearing Versace. I’m sorry for that, too… I can laugh about it now but it was f**ked up for a little while.”
However, her friend Elton John, who spent years battling his own drug demons, reached out to her in her time of need and urged her to stop smoking so much marijuana. 
Gaga adds, “It’s pretty messed up being friends with people who used to have drug and alcohol problems like Elton… He got me on the straight and narrow. He was telling me: ‘Gaga you’re smoking too much.’ He saved me… I’m sober now. Sometimes. Not always. Just when I’m on stage.”
