Senator Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan has emerged the first female to clinch the governorship ticket under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Senator Al-Hassan won the APC governorship primaries in Taraba state. She scored 2,425 votes while her closest opponent Ibrahim Tumba scored 18 votes.
