The 27-year-old has been long linked with a move to the Emirates and on Wednesday, the Independent reported that the Gunners were preparing a late
swoop for the world class France international.
However, Metro now report that the North London club will meet Real Madrid within 24 hours to seal a deal for Benzema. The newspaper also echoes claims that Arsenal’s offer will be around €50 million.

Furthermore, the meeting on Friday is expected to be about how the Gunners will pay Real Madrid, should they sign the 27-year-old, as per the Metro.
If Arsenal do indeed sign Benzema, it would certainly be seen as a major coup for Arsene Wenger and his club as one criticism the Gunners have faced in recent years is that they lack a world-class centre-forward.
Signing a player in the ilk of Real Madrid’s number nine would certainly silence those critics as Benzema has proven himself to be world class forward ever since joining Los Blancos.
Last term the 27-year-old scored 15 goals in 29 La Liga games – only Cristiano Ronaldo (48) scored more than him. Meanwhile, Benzema is an extremely creative forward, the France international created 44 chances last term, registering ten assists
