These two outrageous musical talents are also the closest of friends. And even though they're both in the same industry, that doesn't actually plant them in direct competition with each other unless somebody really screws up scheduling concert tours or something.
But in a recent social media development, Selena has eclipsed Taylor, and that can't really go unnoticed:
That's right, Selena now has more followers. Not just more followers than Taylor, but than any other celebrity.

But it's not like Selena's usurped Taylor's throne or anything -- neither of them control this, and the whole point of Taylor's oh-so-famous squad of close-knit friends is that they uplift each other and celebrate their accomplishments.
