Until his death, Deji Tinubu was formerly the Chairman, Lagos Sports Commission and Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports. At the recent Cabinet reshuffle by Governor Ambode, Deji was redeployed to Commerce and Industry as Special Adviser
According to reports, he slump while playing football at a Retreat with the Governor in Epe, he was taken to the Charlet clinic but was later rushed to the General Hospital in EPE when condition didn't improve and he later died hours after.
