Photos: Mark inaugurated for the sixth time as a senator

Following his victory at the February 20th Benue South Senatorial re-run election, former Senate president, David Mark, today received heroic welcome as he was inaugurated for the sixth time as a Senator.
The Senate in an uncommon solidarity gave Mark a standing ovation when he was walked into the Senate chamber. He was inaugurated around 11am by the Senate president, Bukola Saraki after taking the traditional oath of office and oath of allegiance.
Shortly after the inauguration, Senators in a show of solidarity took turns to hug and exchanged banters with Mark. Mark is currently the longest serving Senator in the country.
